Argentine Government to Meet at Casa Rosada for Key Reform Discussions

Buenos Aires, February 9 (NA) – The Government's Political Cabinet will meet this Tuesday at 11 AM at the Casa Rosada. The meeting will be led by the Secretary-General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, one day before the debate on the labor reform project begins in the Senate, and also in preparation for the juvenile penal regime project. Also attending will be the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni; the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli; the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem; the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo; advisor Santiago Caputo; and Senator Patricia Bullrich, according to the Argentine News Agency from official sources. The meeting will take place on the eve of the labor reform's consideration in the upper house, where the ruling coalition seeks to give it preliminary approval so that the project can then proceed to the Chamber of Deputies. For the libertarian administration, this initiative is central for the second stage of its mandate, during which it seeks to have key reforms already in effect that it considers crucial for the future of its project. Also on the horizon is the consideration of the project to lower the age of criminal responsibility for juvenile delinquents to 13 or 14 years, another reform the Casa Rosada aims to implement as soon as possible. It is estimated that this Wednesday it will be reported on in a plenary session of committees in the Chamber of Deputies, and on Thursday it will be debated in session.
